Canterbury of New Zealand Extends Vodafone Warriors Partnership to 2017

vodafone-warriors-2014_1Canterbury of New Zealand is proud to announce it has extended its partnership with the Vodafone Warriors through to the end of the 2017 season.

The three-year extension will mean that Canterbury’s iconic CCC logo will have been proudly displayed on the Vodafone Warriors jerseys for nine consecutive seasons.

Canterbury of New Zealand chief operating officer Jason Law said the company is incredibly proud of the partnership with the Vodafone Warriors.

“We’re extremely pleased to re-sign with the Vodafone Warriors as their official apparel sponsor,” he said.

“The last six years have been incredibly successful, with Canterbury branded Vodafone Warriors apparel setting the standard in the NRL in both style and in sales.

“We are proud that Canterbury has been able to support that important connection between the club and the loyal fans that turn up week-on-week in their replica jerseys to support the team,” he said.

Vodafone Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah said that the partnership with Canterbury had proved a success because of the close partnership between club and company.

“Canterbury of New Zealand works closely with our management team and players, taking on board the players’ insights and creating some really innovative designs.

“The proof of that success is in the exceptional sales of the Vodafone Warriors replica and casual apparel. They’ve set the standard with our innovative designs and have made our jerseys the most popular by far; not just in the NRL – but among all sports in Australasia,” he said.

Along with great design, Canterbury has also brought top sports technology to the partnership, with Vodafone Warriors playing strip and training gear designed to give the team an advantage on the field.

Canterbury of New Zealand’s 2015 Vodafone Warriors range features an updated home and away playing kit for each of the club’s three teams. There will also be a special NRL Auckland Nines kit as well as a new training kit for the club’s NRL trials.

Also revealed will be a new casual range worn by the players when travelling plus an updated sporting range which the players wear when training.

Says Law, “Canterbury was featured on the first Warriors jersey in its debut season in 1995 and will be there for its landmark 20th anniversary campaign in 2015.

“We believe that this next three years will continue to provide opportunities for exciting innovations that will support the Vodafone Warriors’ success both as a team and a business,” he said.
